TERMS
  • Market Town: refers to a town that regularly hold market. It dates back a long way from the medieval periods. It is now more common in more rural areas but some big towns still keep the tradition. It is usually more community orientated than regular towns.

  • Mining Town: refers to a town located next to a mine or mines. They were central to industrialization and the economic development during the 19th and 20th centuries. They usually arose quickly after a mineral deposit was discovered, especially with gold and silver. Mining towns became famous for working-class struggles and militant unionism.

  • Industrial / Manufacturing: refers to producing of a product from materials. A manufacturing area requires a near by source of materials, transportation and working force. This is why the main manufacturing cities are usually located near a waterway.

Import and Export
A port is a place on a seashore or a coast which consist of one or more dockswhere ships are able to port and transport people or shipment to or from land. There are ports with deep amount of water, but are rare. However these deep water ports are able to handle more massive, economical ships. Some ports also have an important role in military bases.

The United States handles the most amount of import and export cargo yearly.

    • The center where it leads or connect many different places. In a subway there would be tons of Route Center’s because some specific place leads to many different ways. The function of a route center is basically the center of the materials. There is a route center for airplane routes, trades, etc. The route center is crucial because if the route center falls, the trade, route, etc system has a high chance of messing up the economical flow.

    • An example of a Route Center is East Asia would be In-chon, where it is famous for Inchon Airport. Inchon Airport is a center route center because when there are foreigners flying into Korea, it is a MUST to land in Inchon. If Inchon airports route system is malfunctioning, then economically and politically Korea will be devastated due to reduction of trade, foreigners, etc.

What a Commercial Does.
Commercial
Commercials are usually advertisements going on televisions or paper describing a companies product. Companies usually earn money by doing these commercials because the stock rate rises. However commercial have flaws, some of the products are not as productive as seen or heard on televisions and radios. The function of a commercial is to acknowledge the nation of what is available in their nation. If it does so, the income of the sellers will flourish, and the economy of the nation will rise. (The cycle goes on and on)

Cultural/Religious
A culture is developed based on beliefs, faith, practices, customs, lifestyle, language, intelligence, art, food habits, and economy etc. The differences in these factors gave cultural identities to different parts of the world. Also, different religions have different cultures such as Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Jewish etc. However, the differences in culture can also cause war because there are disagreements between beliefs in different cultures.

- Administrative means of or relating to the running of business, organization and so on. The most common administration is the government. They set businesses and laws for the people of their nation.

- Shopping malls, good transportation, safe environment, technology etc. These are some factors that a good resident needs. When these requirements meet, the price of the resident goes up significantly.

- There are many tourist resorts in the world. Some people seek for places where they can rest and relax in peace. For those people, places like tropical islands and beaches might be suitable. There are those who seek for adventures and sports for tourism. Ski resorts, mountain resorts, rainforest etc.
